32" Counter-Top Ventless Recirculating Hood. Certified Type-1, designed specifically for use with electric counter-top appliances. 3-Stage Filtration System w/Double Baffle Filter, Electronic Air Cleaner & Activated Carbon Filter. 

• Certified Type-1 Recirculating Hood designed specifically for use on

counter-top spaces … approved for a variety of counter-top cooking

appliances.

• Ventless hood technology eliminates the need for venting outside, avoiding

costly ductwork and roof/wall penetrations, allowing use in many nontraditional

• Constructed of stainless steel and featuring Giles’ proven electrostatic air

filtration process that exceeds emission requirements of NFPA-96 and

• The GVH Hood requires an ANSUL® R102A fire suppression system. The

unit includes factory-installed piping, discharge nozzles, fusible link

the user; NOT included with purchase).

Multi-Stage Filtration System:

Stage-1 Stainless steel Double Baffle Filter removes large grease particulate and drains

condensate to collection cup.

Stage-2 Electrostatic Air Cleaner (EAC) electrically charges grease and smoke particulate in

the air stream, allowing it to to be collected on plates within the cell.

Stage-3 Disposable activated Charcoal Filter helps to eliminate cooking aromas from

recirculated air.

Stage-4 Optional UV Lamp (not seen) sanitizes the discharge air and the hood plenum area

to further aid in controlling odor.

Optional Interlocked Appliance Power Receptacle:

Plug cooking appliance directly into hood power circuit (50A max).

The 32" GVH-C, Type-1 Ventless Recirculating Hood features Giles’ proven ventless technology, eliminating need for expensive roof modifications and ductwork.  This NEW innovation from Giles is designed specifically for use on counter spaces and is approved for a variety of electric counter-top appliances … fryers, ranges, griddles, toasters and ovens.

This one-of-a-kind, stainless steel, counter-top hood exceeds the grease-laden vapor removal emission requirements of NFPA-96 & UL710B using the EPA-202 test method.  See cutsheet for specific use constraints related to maximum appliance kilowatt rating, temperature, fryer shortening capacity, and cooking surface area.  The hood features a 3-stage air filtration system with a double baffle grease filter, electrostatic air cleaner, and activated carbon filter.  An optional UV Lamp Package is available, which can provide sanitization of discharge air and help with controlling cooking odor.

The Hood can be configured with an optional Interlocked Appliance Power Receptacle (50A max) that can help minimize on-site installation work.
