The KT-S is security insulated and internally grounded, so it does not require an external ground. It can be used with a wall socket that is grounded or not. The cable casing has 4 layers, 2 of steel, one of insulation, and the outer cover of plastic. The head spins on ball-bearings and all external parts are waterproof. It is a very high quality electric fish scaler made in Europe. The KT-S is capable of continuous use in commercial fishing operations. The motor is housed in a metal box with an on/off switch, and it is securely insulated and protected from spray. The laminated, flexible working cable consists of two layers of steel, one layer of insulation and one layer of plastic.
The KT-S is shipped with the Standard head as shown, which is used for most fish, but specialty heads for Salmon and fish with very large scales are available. This is the most durable, heavy duty electrical fish scaler you can find.

Using the right spindle will greatly increase production. MaintenanceNormally, there is very little maintenance required of the KT-S other than lubricating the drive shaft monthly and replacing it when it breaks. All hand fish scalers have a rotating metal drive shaft that wears over time and breaks due to metal fatigue or too much pressure. Normally, a drive shaft will last between 10-12 months, but it can break sooner. We recommend having a spare on hand so you do not have down time when it does. When it breaks it is easily replaced. |
