Our range of standard rectangular stone hearth ovens is acknowledged worldwide for their superior cooking ability, efficiency and flexibility of design. They are available as wood fired, gas fired or a combination of wood and gas. Not just a pizza oven, the Beech stone hearth oven is incredibly versatile and can be used to roast, grill, bake, fry, sauté, steam and much more.
The RGO1250 (pictured) is one of Beech’s most popular designs – a two door stone hearth oven with a char grill on one side. Incorporating a char grill with standard stone hearth cooking combines the best of both worlds and is an essential inclusion to any display kitchen. Many of our customers use these stone hearth ovens for a vast array of cooking duties – steaks, chicken breasts, fish and prawns can be cooked on the char grill, whilst pizza and all other baking is carried out on the other side using skillets for cooking small dishes and croc pots for soups.
That the oven is able to do such a broad spectrum of cooking duties has been achieved by having items requiring a cooler temperature nearer the mouth of the oven (where it is cooler) and vice versa. Cooking with a wood fire, although incredibly hot, is also very "forgiving". Breads could be cooked at off-peak times and reheated, or par-baked elsewhere and finished off in the oven. Our Creative Cooking section has more details.
Beech Ovens can also manufacture custom ovens to meet your exact shape and size requirements. As with standard rectangular ovens, the custom units are also able to be wood fired, gas fired or a combination.
